Parson Premier 2002
The Parson Premier was hosted by the Assoc. Parson Russell Terrier Fanciers, and was judged by J. Thoonsen NL. Our Specialty was held in conjunction with the Belleville and Dist. K.C. All Breed Championship Show. We would like to thank the Show Chair Pat Sheveluk, President Nancy Stantial and all the officers, directors and members. Without your support, and guidance this show would not have been possible.
Participants came from all parts of Canada, with Parsons originating from Canada, Europe, and England. We were very pleased to see some of our American friends attend. Laura Frizzsell-Salomon of Dalwhinnie Farm brought some entries and Lee Sweitzer of Poplar Hill Kennels, had with her Bowery Show Me the Money, the number two Parson in USA Kennel Club standings.

Our members were very generous in their support of this show.
The Trophy and ribbon table were heaped with beautiful crystal,
silver and polished stone trophies.

A Halloween motif was used to
decorate the table and ring corners.

Females Class Winners and
Specials.
The over all quality of the Parson Russell in Canada was proven at this show.

There was a very good turn
out in all the classes. This Open
Females class is a very good example won by ElysianField Millenium Amber.

Best Canadian Bred Bitch was
awarded to Jacklab Starlight Night Sky
One of the highlights of the show was the Exhibition Only Parade of Parsons. Each entry supplied a short Biography and each terrier was presented with a red neck ribbon. Here Amber demonstrates her Obedience skills with owner/handler Lorraine. This proved to be a very popular event with the crowd. Terrier and handler alike, seemed to enjoy the event, and it was observed that the dogs seemed to “strut their stuff” just a little bit more after the neck ribbon was placed on them!
Top Honors went to Am. Ch. Bowery Zealous ZZ Top who won both Best Puppy in Show and Best in Show. Best of Opposite Sex went to Dalwhinnie Lady Primrose.
After the event a Post Show Party was held at one of the members homes where plans were discussed for next years show!!
Congratulations to all!
